Finally...a Bird!

Big excitement at my house this morning...we saw a bird!  A Red-bellied Woodpecker actually came to my suet log.  At least I am starting to see a few birds again.  It has been painfully slow lately.

Some of our customers have continued to see a good number of birds, but for most of us the sightings are way down.  The differences in sightings is probably a reflection of the availability of natural foods from area to area.

This will change as we move into December.  In the meantime, I will exercise my rights as a bird lover to get excited over a woodpecker coming to the feeder!  Here he is...our lone bird!
